280 Tax Break Changelog
We've got so many updates, we decided to share all the news.
Version 1.8, October 10, 2026
- Supporting documentation upload. Business owners can now add their meeting notes and photos to each event as a PDF, during the interview or after the case is completed. All your data is now in one place.
- Full case download. The full case PDF opens with a contents page and bookmarks. Each event has its own page, followed right after by its supporting documents, then the leases and the comps.
- Terms of Service in the app. Clients and tax pros read and accept the Terms right inside the portal, and you can see who has accepted.
- Live case updates. Your dashboard updates by itself when comps come back, with no need to refresh the page.
Version 1.75, September 24, 2026
- Resources. A new Resources link at the top of your portal. Documents from us to use and share with your clients, one click to download.
Version 1.7, September 21, 2026
Security
- Two factor login. Turn it on in My Profile and we email you a 6 digit code each time you sign in from a new device. Tick "trust this device" and that computer won't ask again for 6 months.
- Login protection. Repeated wrong passwords from the same place are blocked automatically, so nobody can sit and guess at your account.
- Stronger payment checks. Every billing message from Stripe is now verified before the app acts on it.
Comps
- Test Comps. From a talk to a feature in about two weeks. Run a comps report on any address, no case needed. Handy for checking an area before you invite a client and selling an Augusta plan. Available in the top menu.
- Address autocomplete. Start typing an address and pick it from Google's list. City, state and ZIP fill themselves in.
- Address check. Addresses are checked before comps run, so a typo or a made up house number is caught up front instead of coming back empty.
Cases and clients
- Resend invite and copy link. If an end user can't find their invitation, send it again or copy their link straight from the case card.
- Clarified buttons. The case buttons now say exactly what they do.
- Improved full case download. One PDF with the events, the signed lease and the comps, all together.
- Assistant email. Add your assistant in My Profile and they get a copy of every email the app sends you, without needing a login.
Leases
- Updated lease templates for all 50 states and DC. The lease term and dates are filled in for you on every state's lease. Cleaned up appearance and layout for easier reading.
- Long values fit. Long names and addresses shrink to fit their box instead of being cut off.
Behind the scenes
- A faster, dedicated server. Upgraded to help more tax pros simultaneously, faster.
